Rodney Fund obtained a degree in Finance and International Marketing from the University of Florida in 1990.
Throughout Rodney’s corporate world experience and entrepreneurial relationships in various industries such as consumer electronics with Minolta Corporation, precious gems, health and fitness with Gold’s Gym, as well as hospitality and event planning with the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He realized early on that the marketing dynamics of a business appealed and inspired him to found Pomp Agency.
In 2003, Pomp Agency launched its first corporate office in New York City. As Managing Director, he functions as an outsource CMO with various leading brands in their industry by combining their clients needs and networks strongly set in those markets.
With Rodney at the helm, Pomp Agency’s accomplishments include the 2004 Augusta Eagle Mansion corporate event, the 2006 Isaiah Award dinner affiliated with Citigroup and former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, the United Nations consulting economic development of Africa UNDP, Stanford University, the largest wine and spirits importer; Diageo, the largest industry food and wine show in the southeast; The Inland Seafood Experience, and authors from American history to women's fiction. Rodney’s scope of clients span many industries; Technology, Food and Beverage, Wine and Spirits, Automotive, Clothing, Textiles, Investment Banking firms, Corporate Services, Data Management, and Cosmetics Manufacturing, specifically private label B2B.
Heading back to where he was raised, he has expanded into the Miami market along with the New York City and Atlanta offices.
Why 'Pomp'...The agency’s name was inspired when Rodney visited the Statue of Liberty after 9.11 to embrace the country's foundation. While reading the plaque at the base of Lady Liberty, one line specifically spoke to him. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp, cried she with silent lips…."...and Pomp Agency was born.
